Spacenet Extends Commercial Grade Broadband and Digital Phone Services to Alaska & Hawaii via Satellite

Spacenet Inc., a leading provider of advanced satellite networking services, today announced the introduction of its commercial grade Connexstar broadband and digital voice services to Alaska and Hawaii. Spacenets Connexstar service, which offers high-speed two-way satellite communications, has powered networks for enterprise and government clients across the continental US since 2001. Starting in April 2008, Connexstar will be available in all 50 states including in US territories and the Caribbean.

Connexstar high-performance satellite services are designed specifically to meet the converged voice, video, and data communications requirements of business and government clients. This includes providing a higher standard of service than comparable pre-packaged satellite offerings including enterprise grade features and service level guarantees. Connexstar also offers the option for a carrier-class digital phone service complete with direct connection to the public switched telephone network, local area codes and a variety of competitively priced calling plans.

In direct response to growing customer and reseller demand for business-class satellite communications in Alaska and Hawaii, Spacenet is extending its commercial grade services to these markets. Available for primary or backup communications and offered in both fixed and transportable packages, Spacenets Connexstar service is ideal for banking and retail, hotels and lodges, healthcare facilities, small businesses and state and local government agencies.

Spacenet is hosting a free educational seminar in Anchorage, Alaska on April 2 3, 2008, for prospective customers, as well as qualified organizations interested in selling the new services. The event will provide educational information on satellite networking and hands-on demonstrations. For more detailed information, call 703-848-1141 or visit www.spacenet.com/alaska.

Spacenet Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development David Myers said, Businesses and government organizations depend on reliable communications to keep their operations running, especially when located in distant or remote locations. By extending Connexstar to Alaska and Hawaii we are offering customers in these markets a new high-performance alternative for reliable broadband services via satellite. Whether for telephone service, secure banking transactions, or even real time video conferencing, customers in Alaska and Hawaii can now depend on Spacenets 26 years of experience to ensure high performance networking virtually anywhere in the US.
