Austin Texas - July 21, 2023

GlowRow, the nation's leading provider of clear nighttime kayak tours, has finalized a collaboration with the LCRA (Lower Colorado River Authority) and is excited to announce the opening of their new location on the Lower Colorado River in Austin. Offering a unique and immersive experience, GlowRow invites locals and visitors alike to explore the clearest water within a 30-minute drive of Austin. The company's new Austin kayak route begins in Jessica Hollis Park and takes participants on a one-mile round trip to experience local aquatic life and other natural attractions.

As is the case with all GlowRow locations, the new Lower Colorado River route is designed to provide an unforgettable adventure for nature enthusiasts and water lovers. The guided tour goes upstream to the buoy line, offering views of Lake Travis. Guests are guided as close to the Mansfield Dam as possible. The tour then continues by following the current, providing opportunities to spot the diverse freshwater fish in the area.

"We're thrilled to bring the GlowRow experience to Austin and showcase the beauty of the Lower Colorado River," said a spokesperson for GlowRow. "With our clear kayaks and expert guides, guests can expect a one-of-a-kind adventure and the clearest water experience in the area. Getting to view the Mansfield Dam from a downstream angle at night is something few people get to experience, and our tours take guests along a route that makes for plenty of Instagram-worthy photos."

The Lower Colorado River tour is approximately 1.5 hours in duration. Tours are currently available on Mondays at 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM. The cost starts at $54.95 per adult, and reservations are required due to the guided nature of the tour. GlowRow places the highest emphasis on the safety and comfort of all participants with each person receiving a life jacket, safety light, and emergency whistle. Their equipment and operation comply fully with Texas Parks and Wildlife and United States Coast Guard regulations and best practices. Their newest launch spot is located at 14100 Low Water Crossing Road in Austin, and there is a $5 per person park entry fee paid at Jessica Hollis Park.

"We invite both locals and visitors to come and experience the magic of GlowRow on the Lower Colorado River," added the company spokesperson. "It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy the crystal-clear waters and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Austin."
