ERTC/ERC Claims Assistance For COVID Supply Chain Disturbance Filings Launched

A tax consulting firm is introducing an advisory service aimed at eligible businesses that have yet to claim their Employee Retention Tax Credits (ERTC) from the government.

Tampa, United States - July 18, 2023

ERTC Express, LLC, has announced a consulting service designed specifically to aid businesses that qualify for the ERTC but lack the knowledge or time to make a claim. With the complexity of retroactive filings, the firm offers the expertise of CPAs specializing in the refund, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

The ERTC was created as a refundable credit to provide financial relief to companies that remained open in 2020 and 2021 despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic. It was specifically designed to incentivize businesses of all sizes to retain their employees during the nationwide lockdowns implemented during that period.

Eligible employers can retroactively claim the ERTC by filing Form 941-X for each quarter in which they paid qualifying wages. The form can be filed up to three years after the original payroll taxes were due. According to ERTC Express, this means that employers have until April 2024 to claim their 2020 refunds and until April 2025 to apply for 2021 credits.

“The deadline for the ERTC is extremely generous, and yet the tax credit is heavily underutilized,” said an ERTC Express spokesperson. “This can be due to a number of factors, but a major one is the lack of understanding of its eligibility requirements, something we are working to rectify with the service we offer.”

ERTC Express stated that businesses that suffered revenue declines are not the only ones eligible for the tax credit, explaining that those that experienced supply chain disturbances, remote work orders, capacity restrictions, travel restrictions, or partial shutdowns can also be approved with a properly prepared filing.

To improve the likelihood of approval, its advisory services involve a “full-blown assessment” delivered by CPAs who specialize in ERTC refunds. After an initial assessment, the claim is cross-checked by two additional accounting groups for accuracy before the claim is finally submitted.

ERTC Express highlighted that this multi-layered assessment service is delivered on a contingency basis, meaning that a fee only applies if the claim is successful.
