Srikanth Padmanabhan, Managing Director of Cummins Generator Technologies for the past four years, has been selected to head Cummins Emission Solutions and has been named a Vice President of Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI). He will assume his new role on January 15 and will be based in Columbus.

Cummins Emission Solutions is one of four businesses operating within the Companys Components Group, and has been one of Cummins fastest-growing businesses since its inception in 2002. The business is expected to triple in sales from 2006 to 2007 to approximately $450 million.

During his 17 years with Cummins, Srikanth, 43, has served in a variety of leadership positions in addition to his current role, including as Country Manager of Cummins Filtration Mexico and Plant Manager at the Cummins Filtration plant in Cookeville, Tenn. He also has held a number of management roles within the Cummins Fuel Systems business in Columbus.

We are excited to have Srikanth assume responsibility for this important and growing Cummins business, said Rick Mills, Components Group President. His past experiences will serve him well in his new role as General Manager of Emission Solutions. In addition, he has a proven track record of performance at Cummins as reflected in the recent strong growth in revenue and profits at Cummins Generator Technologies.

Tom Linebarger, President Cummins Power Generation, added: Srikanth has made a significant contribution to the success of the Power Generation business and is well prepared for this challenging new role. His past success, strong technical background and focus on process improvement make him a good fit for this job.

Padmanabhans successor at Cummins Generator Technologies will be named in the near future.

Padmanabhan earned a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Trichy, India and his doctorate in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University. He also is a graduate of the Harvard Business Schools Advanced Management Program.
