New Jersey Intensive Peer Support For Adults With Addiction, Sober Living Update

CFC Recovery (1-833-300-4673), based in Toms River, NJ, launches its updated intensive peer recovery program (IPRP) for adults who are currently transitioning from their addiction treatment.

The updated peer support for adults with addiction is an intensive four-day program that helps individuals develop integral life skills they would need to successfully transition back into sober living. The program includes group counseling and peer case management to help recovering addicts feel more comfortable and confident away from an addiction treatment center.

According to CFC Recovery, long-term recovery from any addiction starts with a strong support system. Their IPRP offers a direct line to individuals who have always struggled with their sober living recovery program. Each week, members come together for self-help therapy sessions, community outreaches, and other social activities. The goal of IPRP is to show individuals the many ways they can live happy, fulfilling lives without illicit substances.

In every IPRP session, members are reminded of their C.H.O.I.C.E., or their proactive decision to develop honesty through accountability and practice. This simple yet powerful process helps recovering addicts find and accept forgiveness in themselves and others. Most importantly, the C.H.O.I.C.E. model encourages members to undergo regular drug testing and recovery planning of their own volition.

As part of the program, members also work closely with their dedicated recovery coach to design their own Wellness Recovery Action Plan or WRAP. This plan only helps members design a step-by-step strategy of how to adjust to sober life and tracks their progress every week and month. Each person’s WRAP considers the inevitable challenges that will occur along the way and encourages adults to practice kindness through their C.H.O.I.C.E.

CFC Recovery offers its IPRP program in partnership with HealingUS Communities, which believes that anyone can find recovery, regardless of the severity or type of addiction.

A spokesperson for the group wrote, "The program will educate individuals not only about recovery but will help them develop the integral life skills needed in order to fully assimilate into a sober social environment. Trained Peers in Recovery facilitate individual and group skill sessions throughout the four-day program."
