Obit Funeral Software Launches Quickbooks Integration

Obit, the funeral management software for funeral directors has announced a new integration with Quickbooks. Users can now manage their accounts more easily, having invoices and credit notes synchronise automatically across platforms.

Obit funeral software, which was already compatible with the accounting software Sage, now also works seamlessly with Quickbooks, allowing the company to accelerate its expansion. The funeral management app is increasingly popular in the UK and Ireland where traditionally family-run funeral homes are seeking to modernise their operations and find efficiencies through technology.

Funeral home managers and owners who use Quickbooks will now find their accounts even easier to manage and save even more time which the Obit team hopes will attract a new wave of funeral homes to make the jump to its cloud-based solution.

About the integration

The new Obit QuickBooks integration allows funeral directors to connect their QBO accounts and have their invoices and credit notes synchronised to their accounts. As such, there is no need for Manual CSV exports and imports anymore, allowing for much quicker sharing of accounting details across platforms. The synchronisation is bi-directional so when reconciling payments in QBO, Obit will also be updated so there's no chance of anything getting missed.

About Obit

Obit is an all-in-one software solution for independent or multi-branch funeral homes. It has corporate offices in Limerick, Ireland and a technical development hub in Madrid, Spain. The app has a range of features, including templates and wizards to quickly set up, alerts and notifications, reporting, online notices & condolences, and also includes remote working options so that team members can work with the same tools and data, wherever they are located.

Designed to meet the needs of the modern funeral director, Obit has been made in cooperation with trusted leaders in the funeral industry. The tool ensures that data is secure and accessible in the Cloud, allowing users to work from anywhere and to gain insights into their business that may have been previously unavailable. With the new integration, users can include the easier synchronisation of accounting data as one of these benefits.

"We are thrilled to be integrating with QuickBooks," said Richard Lynch Co-Founder of Obit. "Obit makes it easy for funeral professionals and funeral homes to manage all of their business and accounting needs in one place and we will continue to add services and functionality for our clients"
