Ecommerce industry veteran brings decades of leadership experience to support Cart.com’s next phase of growth and path to $1 billion in revenue
Cart.com, the leading commerce solutions provider, today announced that Gregg Zegras has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer. Based in South Florida, Zegras will oversee the company’s unified sales team across its Commerce Solutions and Logistics Solutions businesses and will report directly to Cart.com Founder and CEO Omair Tariq.
Zegras brings more than 25 years of experience leading global teams in commerce, logistics, SaaS, and enterprise software. He most recently served as President of Global eCommerce at Pitney Bowes, where he steered strategy and execution, growing the company’s eCommerce division revenues from startup stage to $1.5 billion and overseeing more than 4,500 employees providing fulfillment, delivery, returns, and cross-border trade services. Zegras’ previous senior leadership roles include Sharecare, Hearst, NBC Universal and iVillage.com. He also serves as an advisor to multiple early-stage companies and venture accelerators.
“Gregg’s track record of driving sustained growth at scale and his ability to align sales, operations, and technology make him the perfect fit to lead Cart.com’s revenue strategy,” said Omair Tariq, Cart.com Founder and CEO. “As our unique ‘Commerce-as-a-Service’ offering continues to gain momentum, Gregg’s leadership will be instrumental in accelerating high-margin revenue growth, penetrating new verticals, diversifying our client base, unifying our go-to market efforts, and scaling Cart.com to $1 billion in revenue over the next few years.”
Zegras’ appointment follows a year of rapid expansion for Cart.com. The company recently announced an additional $50 million fundraise to accelerate growth and expand its suite of solutions for leading omnichannel merchants and brands. Cart.com now supports more than 6,000 customers and manages a logistics footprint spanning 18 omnichannel facilities and over 10 million square feet of space across the U.S.
“I’m thrilled to join Cart.com at such an exciting moment in its growth journey,” said Zegras. “The company has built a differentiated platform that uniquely combines commerce enablement with a nationwide logistics network. I look forward to working with Omair and the entire Cart.com team to drive customer success and deliver on the company’s ambitious goals.”
