Strategic hires come as a shifting regulatory landscape is set to significantly expand private market access for retail investors
Alto, the self-directed IRA platform for private market and alternative assets, today announced the addition of two seasoned executives to its leadership team: Tomek Siergiejuk has joined as Chief Financial Officer, and Tom Eidt has joined as General Counsel. These appointments underscore Alto’s commitment to scaling its operations with strong financial oversight and legal governance as interest in and access to private market investing continues to grow.
“Investors are increasingly looking beyond public markets to diversify their portfolios into asset classes like venture capital, real estate and private equity,” said Eric Satz, Founder and CEO of Alto. “With tens of trillions of dollars held in retirement accounts, more individuals are beginning to look for ways to put those dollars to work in investments that were once out of reach. Strengthening our leadership team is essential to ensuring we meet this moment with the discipline, vision and operational excellence that sets us apart.”
Investor demand for alternative assets is rising, and self-directed IRAs are gaining traction as a vehicle to access real estate, private equity, private credit, and other alternatives, such as crypto, within a tax-advantaged retirement structure. To meet this growing interest and ensure the company continues to lead with innovation, Alto is investing in top-tier leadership with deep financial and legal expertise.
Tomek Siergiejuk joins Alto after more than a decade at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, where he served as Managing Director and CFO. With over 20 years of experience in global financial services, Tomek has led organizations through periods of rapid growth and complexity. He started his career in investment banking at Credit Suisse, advising financial institutions on M&A, IPOs, and capital raising. At Alto, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, driving strategic planning and forecasting and ensuring a scalable foundation to support long-term growth.
Tom Eidt brings more than two decades of legal, compliance and regulatory experience across both traditional and digital finance. He began his career at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, D.C., where he was a senior counsel in the Trading and Markets Division as well as an Assistant Director in the Exams Division. Tom most recently served as General Counsel at Securitize, a leading platform for digital securities. At Alto, Tom leads legal and regulatory strategy, guiding the company through an increasingly complex investment environment.
“As our platform evolves, so does the team leading it,” said Scott Harrigan, President of Alto and CEO of Alto Securities. “Bringing in leaders like Tomek and Tom allows us to meet increasing demand while continuing to prioritize innovation, compliance and customer experience. Their addition reflects the high standard we’re setting for Alto’s team as we scale to meet the future of alternative investing.”
These appointments come at a pivotal time for Alto as the company continues to grow its platform capabilities as well as its offerings on Alto Marketplace. They follow a series of strategic hires in product and marketing over the past year, reinforcing Alto’s commitment to building a high-caliber team across all functions. With investor interest accelerating and new asset classes entering the mainstream, Alto remains focused on delivering a trusted, modern platform that makes alternative investing accessible, transparent and aligned with long-term financial goals.
