Numat Defense Advisory Board
The Advisory Board will initially leverage the combined experience of three distinguished general officers, each bringing decades of operational, acquisition, and strategic policy expertise to support Numat's MOF innovation strategy. As an initial priority, the Advisory Board will focus on expanding Numat’s Extreme Environments business and related MOF-enabled chemical and biological defense applications. The Advisory Board’s efforts will include a focus on delivering Numat’s advanced, MOF-enabled fabrics and “Reactive Garment Uniforms” to the warfighter. These next-generation chemical and biological protective fabric materials and uniforms are designed to replace legacy protective garments with highly protective, breathable, and self-detoxifying materials. The Advisory Board will help Numat ensure that these advanced protective technologies play a crucial role in the US Department of Defense’s integrated and layered chemical and biological defense strategic vision.
“The Defense Advisory Board reflects our deep commitment to partnering with the US Department of Defense and international allies to protect against current and rapidly emerging battlefield threats for today’s warfighter,” said Ben Hernandez, CEO of Numat Technologies. “MOF-enabled solutions have the potential to radically transform defense material applications, from protective personal equipment to advanced filtration. The members of the Advisory Board, who represent and embody the greatest values and virtues of the US Armed Services, bring an unparalleled understanding of the modern threats facing the warfighter and how to get the best technology quickly to the warfighter.”
The Advisory Board will meet regularly with Numat’s executive leadership, research and development teams, and government affairs staff to provide feedback on product roadmaps and strategic business cases, assist in stakeholder engagement, and ensure alignment with ongoing US Department of Defense initiatives related to chemical and biological defense modernization, acquisition and sustainment, and US industrial base innovation.
