(Sentar), a leading provider of advanced cybersecurity and intelligence solutions, today announced its award under the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) program. The $151 billion IDIQ, which extends through 2035, is a key component of the Department of Defense’s Golden Dome initiative to strengthen the nation’s layered missile defense architecture.

Selected as one of 1,014 industry partners from 2,463 offers, Sentar will be eligible to support SHIELD task orders focused on rapidly delivering next-generation capabilities. These include artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital engineering, and advanced cyber technologies that enhance detection, decision-making, and response against evolving missile threats.

The Golden Dome initiative, established by executive order in January 2025, envisions a multi-layered missile defense system integrating space-based sensors, interceptors, and early warning capabilities. Performance under the contract will occur across the United States, overseen by the MDA’s contracting office at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
