Frost & Sullivan Honors Infinitum with Best Practices Award for Leadership in Sustainable HVAC Motors

Analysts recognize motor technology’s superior performance in data centers and positive impact on operational and financial outcomes

Infinitum, creator of the sustainable air-core motor, today announced it has received Frost & Sullivan’s 2025 Best Practices Award for Product Leadership in the North American Sustainable HVAC Motors industry. The award recognizes the highest-performing market participant that demonstrates excellence in innovation, business strategy and customer value.

According to the report “2025 Frost & Sullivan Product Leadership Recognition: The North America Sustainable HVAC Motors Industry Excellence in Best Practices,” Infinitum stands out for its ability to converge efficiency, serviceability and sustainability in electric motor design, and for its relevance in the data center market.

Analysts note that Infinitum motors “deliver consistently strong performance across variable load points, making them well-suited for modern data center infrastructure in which energy savings, flexibility, and serviceability directly impact operational and financial outcomes.”

Key findings include:

Efficiency

Frost & Sullivan notes two differentiating features valued by the data center segment: the motor’s ability to maintain high-efficiency at partial loads and Infinitum’s ability to rightsize motors, which “enables customers to free up electrical capacity, allowing data centers to reallocate power to other critical functions and improve their PUE.”

Serviceability

Analysts note Infinitum’s modular architecture enhances uptime and operational continuity by allowing “field technicians to replace individual boards without disassembling entire systems. This approach sharply contrasts with competitor offerings that require full system extraction and shipment for repair.”

Sustainability

The report states that “Infinitum delivers significant sustainability impact through energy savings and emissions reduction,” estimating that over a 10-year period, every 1000 of the company’s air-core motors contribute to avoiding 10,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions, a key differentiator especially valued by data center partners.

“By combining high efficiency, right-sized architecture, and integrated sustainability, Infinitum continues to position itself as a strategic partner for mission-critical commercial applications, particularly in the fast-growing data center segment,” said Giselle Canahuati, senior consultant at Frost & Sullivan.

“Frost & Sullivan’s award underscores the importance and relevance of our air-core motor technology for mission critical industries at a time when AI power demand shows no signs of slowing down,” said Ben Schuler, founder and CEO, Infinitum. “We’re leading a century-old motor industry into a new era and demonstrating how data centers can rethink how power can be used, managed and conserved –– while positively contributing to the bottom line, the electric grid and the environment.”
