The RightCycle Program has evolved to meet the growing demand for landfill diversion in the PPE space. Market research sponsored by Ansell shows that 96% of PPE buyers in industrial manufacturing say sustainability influences their purchasing decisions, with 52% stating it significantly impacts their purchasing decisions. With more complex materials and contamination risks in industrial settings, the program now offers tailored landfill diversion services that include:

  • Recycling of eligible cleanroom and scientific PPE.
  • Energy recovery through AEFs for RightCycle eligible PPE used in industrial manufacturing settings with higher risk of contamination, transforming waste into clean-burning fuel for cement kilns and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

“Our mission is to divert Ansell-branded PPE from landfill using the most responsible methods available,” said Nick Brown, Senior Director of Ansell Services. “Whether through recycling or energy recovery, we’re helping our customers achieve their zero-waste goals in ways that are both affordable and responsible.”

“By adding Energy Recovery through AEFs to our program, we can accept even more used PPE into the program and reach our goal of diverting over 1.0 million lbs. of used Ansell PPE from landfills in one year,” said Lisa Charles, RightCycle Program Leader for Ansell North America.

As part of this expansion, the program now includes a broader range of products such as:

  • MICROFLEX™ and TouchNTuff™ branded nitrile gloves
  • BioClean™ branded cleanroom gloves and apparel
  • Nemesis™, Maverick™ and KleenGuard™ branded safety glasses and goggles

This is in addition to products already eligible from Ansell’s Kimtech and KleenGuard branded PPE portfolios.

Ansell’s collaboration with organizations like the Jackson County Developmental Center -a non-profit enterprise- adds both economic and social impact to the program. This partnership provides job training and life skills to disadvantaged workers while advancing waste diversion efforts.

RightCycle by Ansell is a first-of-its-kind landfill diversion program for nonhazardous PPE. Since 2011, The RightCycle Program has helped customers divert 7 million lbs. of used PPE from landfills. For more information, contact news@ansell.com.
