ITEM 5. OTHER EVENTS
On August 29, 2001, Pulte Homes, Inc. issued a press release attached
as Exhibit 99.1 hereto, announcing that the United States Court of Claims
awarded summary judgment in the company's favor in the breach of contract
litigation brought by the company against the United States Government in
connection with the company's 1988 acquisition of five savings and loan
associations which became known as First Heights Bank, FSB.
