ITEM 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On April 21, 2011, Hubbell Incorporated (the “Company”) reported net sales of $658.1 million and earnings per diluted share of $0.82 for the first quarter of 2011, as compared to net sales of $570.5 million and earnings per diluted share of $0.64 reported for the first quarter of 2010. The Company also reported net income of $50.3 million for the first quarter of 2011, as compared to net income of $38.6 million for the first quarter of 2010.
