Item 8.01 Other Events

On November 6, 2017, Florida Power & Light Company sold $750 million principal amount of its Floating Rate Notes, Series due November 6, 2020 (Notes). The Notes bear interest at a rate equal to three-month LIBOR plus 0.28% which rate will be reset quarterly on February 6, May 6, August 6, and November 6 of each year beginning February 6, 2018. The Notes were registered under the Securities Act of 1933 pursuant to Registration Statement Nos. 333-205558, 333-205558-01 and 333-205558-02. This Current Report on Form 8-K is being filed to report as exhibits certain documents in connection with the sale of the Notes.
