In a press release dated January 24, 2011, The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated announced that the company has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with the Kuwait-based Alshaya group of companies to build and operate The Cheesecake Factory restaurants in the Middle East.  The agreement provides for the development of 22 restaurants over the next five years in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the opportunity to expand the agreement to include other markets in the Middle East and North Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey. The transaction also includes an agreement to supply bakery products branded under The Cheesecake Factory trademark to such restaurants.
