U.S. durable-goods orders jump 1.3% in October as manufacturers ramp up

Orders for long-lasting goods such as computers and appliances rose in November for the sixth month in a row and business investment also increased, a sign the ongoing recovery might have plenty of staying power despite another major coronavirus outbreak.
