"I moved to Fort Worth 12 years ago and began to build a following as a colorist and stylist," said Grandon, who attributes much of his success to his strong listening skills, ability to ask the right questions and easy-going demeanor.

"I cut hair for clients of all ages, but many of my clients seem to be older because I attract so many regulars, and they stick with me," said Grandon.

Grandon graduated from Virginia Beach Beauty Academy in 1985 and mastered fades and flat tops and other military-style cuts early in his styling career because of the area's many military bases. "I don't do straight razor cutting, but I can do any other style of military haircut and, of course, I can do precise razor cuts on women," added Grandon.

Earlier in his career Grandon spent four years teaching at beauty schools in both Virginia and North Carolina. "I really enjoyed working with beauty school students and may teach again when I get closer to retirement," said Grandon.
