This smartphone app can help a senior stick to a planned diet or eat at certain times of the day. Also, visual and auditory clues can be provided by the app to ensure that the senior is notified.
Third on the list is Alarm.com Wellness, which is paired with an at-home security and monitoring system. The app connects with the smartphone of adult family members and will notify them or the caregiver if there is a change in the seniors’ activity levels, such as if they are entering the house or leaving at unusual times, or if they are not getting out of bed for a number of days. The app can also be used to monitor the security, temperature and light in the home where the seniors reside.

The loved one can record his or her voice to provide gentle and kind reminders for certain times of the day. The benefit is that the seniors get to hear the voice of their loved one and be comforted by it.
