Champion Sports Medicine is pleased to announce the recent designation of two team members as board-certified sports clinical specialists (SCS) - Adam Finck, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS and Andrew Kupper PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS.

According to the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS), as of June 2017, there were only 2,088 sports clinical specialists nationally. Champion Sports Medicine has the most of any provider within 100 miles of Birmingham.

These therapists are equipped to provide athletes of all skill levels with professional care using the latest evidence-based practices and cutting-edge innovation in sports medicine. Finck and Kupper join team members Nathan Bower, PT, DPT, SCS, Andrew Hutchinson PT, DPT, SCS and internationally renowned Kevin Wilk, PT, DPT, FAPTA with elite sports medicine certifications.

About Adam Finck
Adam Finck, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Minnesota and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. During a sports residency program, Finck served as a team physical therapist for the Los Angeles Sparks and completed physicals testing with the Los Angeles Angels.

About Andrew Kupper
Andrew Kupper PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with highest honors from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 2012 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis in 2016. He graduated from physical therapy school with the Beatrice Schultz Award, which recognizes the top clinician in each graduating class. Kupper completed a sports medicine physical therapy residency through the Gundersen Medical Foundation in La Crosse, Wisconsin in May 2017.
