The Church of Scientology National Affairs Office is announcing the premiere of a new documentary produced by Scientology Media Productions which will air on July 3, 2024 on the Scientology Network. They are proud that the show highlights one of the most effective community leaders in the city, Dr. Warees Majeed, and his success in helping others.
Dr. Majeed, a native Washingtonian, is co-founder and Chief Operating Office of YAAY ME, Inc., a nonprofit organization focusing on youth, young adults, and returning citizens. Dr. Majeed has a passion for advocating for underprivileged and underserved residents through a large array of programs addressing crime prevention, crime reduction, workforce issues, mental health skill building and personal development. He works to bring opportunities to those struggling with hopelessness and despair, using goal setting and job training to give them a path forward.
The Scientology Network program, Voices for Humanity, focuses on Dr. Majeed’s work with at-risk youth; the connection between the number of absentee fathers in Washington, DC, and the high rate of drugs and criminality; and will highlight the use of a guide written by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard called The Way to Happiness: A Common Sense Guide to Better Living.
Dr. Warees Majeed says, “In our community, everybody is impacted by the street culture. The young people need guidance. They need direction. So I will continue fighting, continue pushing till everybody finds out what it looks like to find their way. They are looking for a blueprint for success. The Way to Happiness gives them the guide.”
The Voices for Humanity episode demonstrates how Dr. Majeed works with community members to create a meaningful life for themselves and others. It will air on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 8pm, and will be available on demand any time after that.
