Now, educators can easily create and share their own video projects with colleagues.
Assignment Idea Sharing introduces a user-generated content (UGC) framework to WeVideo’s in-product collaboration and sharing. While dozens of pre-made projects already exist in the Assignment Ideas Library, educators can now add to their collection – and make available for colleagues – encouraging sharing of strategies and best practices that work for their specific situations.
“This feature not only improves the collaboration between teachers, but also makes it easier for teachers to incorporate video into learning and positively impact learning outcomes like content retention, engagement and improved higher-order skills,” said Annie Davis, Chief Product Officer at WeVideo.
How Assignment Idea Sharing works
The assignment creation workflow has been revamped for existing WeVideo users to make these features more intuitive and easy to find. Teachers and faculty can log in to their account and access streamlined updates that allow them to:
- Create assignment ideas: Develop dynamic assignment ideas using various media types and resources
- Build a personal idea library: Easily add existing assignments to a personal assignment idea library to scale over time
- Share within the organization: Foster collaboration and resource sharing by distributing assignment ideas with their entire organization
- Edit templates with confidence: Unpublish assignment ideas to make edits
Admin-specific control options also include:
- The ability to turn off assignment idea sharing entirely
- Designated specific roles allowed to share assignment ideas
- Limited scope of sharing for appropriate distribution
All users need to do to get started is log in to their WeVideo account and begin creating and sharing assignment ideas. For more information, visit WeVideo’s Help Center.
