Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On May 2, 2007, First Community Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) held a conference call to discuss its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. The conference call was previously announced in the earnings release dated May 1, 2007.
In a question and answer period, management disclosed potential future cost savings in salaries and benefits of up to $1 million annually as a result of line of business reorganization and further operations consolidation efforts.
