ITEM 8.01 Other Events.
On Friday, June 23, 2006, a notice was posted on various financial websites regarding National Interstate Corporation (the “Company”) that incorrectly identified the Company as having failed to meet NASDAQ continued listing requirements. The Company immediately contacted NASDAQ who confirmed that the posting was in error and NASDAQ immediately initiated corrective actions. The notice was removed from the Company’s profile by NASDAQ before the market opened on Monday, June 26, 2006.
