METSO’S CONTRACT FOR THE BOARD LINE DELIVERY TO TURKEY BECOMES EFFECTIVE
(Helsinki, Finland, December 15, 2005) — Metso Corporation (NYSE: MX; OMXH: MEO1V)
Metso Paper’s contract for a board making line to Modern Karton Sanayi Ticaret AS has become effective. The value of the agreement is around EUR 80 million, and the order is included in the order book for the last quarter of 2005. The letter of intent was signed in February 2005.
The board line will be started up in the last quarter of 2007 and its the annual capacity will be 400,000 tons of containerboard grades.
